Engraving with the CNC

Finally cutting! :-)

Now that we can plot reliably with the CNC, Mike Newman and I decided to try to engrave with it….

There are still a few tricks to learn to convert an image to a part:

image > vector > toolpath > g-code > part

Thankfully, the fidelity of the CNC machine Mike built is so high that the awkwardness of the vectorized…

How to plot words / shapes with Mike Newman’s CNC machine….

Last year, Mike, myself, and Marshall decided to build a CNC machine.  We started a brief blog about it here:
